CyNtell Awarded SBA 8(a) Certification

CyNtell is proud to announce that it has been accepted into the Federal 8(a) Business Development program by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Since its founding in 2016, CyNtell has grown as a qualified supplier of cybersecurity solutions, compliance support, cloud, and wireless support, and consulting for government agencies. Pursuing certifications like 8(a) that are relevant to helping agencies meet their small business goals and providing sole-source opportunities has been a priority since their founding.

Small Business Administration 8(a) Certification

8(a) status is obtained through a rigorous certification process that has granted CyNtell participation in the nine-year program. 8(a) status consists of a four-year development stage and a five-year transition stage. During the program timeframe, CyNtell will work closely with SBA and program officers, ensuring program benchmarks are met. Through the program, CyNtell will now compete for 8(a) set-aside reserved contracts, and work directly with agencies to obtain sole-source, non-competitive contracts.

Streamlined Contract Options

Sole-sourced contracts allow federal agencies to directly award professional service contracts to 8(a) firms, bypassing lengthy contracting delays. Additionally, if a federal agency finds an 8(a) organization with whom they would like to continue working, the agency can choose to enter into a sole-source IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) contract. Sole-sourced IDIQ contracts are highly cost-effective and time-efficient for agencies, significantly reducing the time involved in contracting out individual task orders, and streamlining processes, as opposed to awarding a competitive IDIQ.

HUBZone Certified and GSA Schedule

By obtaining 8(a) certification, CyNtell has now secured three of the most sought-after federal credentials that diversify the cost-effective contract vehicles available to agencies. These credentials simplify the acquisition of services from disadvantaged small business contractors by significantly streamlining the awarding of contracts for agencies trying to meet their statutory small business goals.

Along with 8(a), CyNtell is HUBZone certified and a GSA MAS/ Schedule holder. 3% of prime government contracts are held for HUBZone certified businesses that work in, and support the communities of, historically underutilized business regions. CyNtell is proud to be part of that mission.

Coupling 8(a) Certification and HUBZone Certification with a GSA Schedule, which streamlines government sales process with pre-determined pricing, terms, and conditions, CyNtell is positioned to fulfill a wide range of set-asides, sole-source contracts, and IDIQ contracts. With the goal of easing the burden on agencies ever front and center, CyNtell is looking ahead to a future of growing excellence in Cyber Security solutions and services.
